The managing attorney of the Collections Department
is Mr. J. Paul Clinton. Mr. Clinton joined the Firm as an associate
in November, 1992. He works very closely with the Operations Manager,
Michael J. McDaniel, in monitoring the productivity and efficiency
of the day-to-day activities of the department. He assumed the responsibility
as managing attorney in April, 1996 and plays a very significant
role in interlinking the Firm's Legal and Collection Departments.
Stokes & Clinton, P.C. houses a first rate
collection staff of approximately thirty-two professional individuals
who specialize in bad debt recovery. Our collection team is complemented
by six skiptracers. This department's emphasis is to locate demographic
information on debtors. The Firm also employs three full-time paralegals
along with a support staff of twelve. The S&C workforce is managed
by Mr. Michael J. McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel graduated with a degree
in Business Administration from the University of Mobile in 1987.
He has fifteen years experience in collections and operations management.
Mr. McDaniel challenges the collection and support staff with the
specific goal of maximum recovery for the client in the shortest
period of time.
S&C is equipped with state of the art equipment
to aid us in serving the needs of our clients. Our computer software
was custom-engineered, developed and copyrighted for the firm in
1984. Since its inception, this program has been installed in over
three hundred firms across the country. Our predictive dialing system
enables us to increase our number of debtor contacts while virtually
eliminating the busy signals, disconnected phone numbers, no answers
and wrong numbers. In addition, our skiptracing department is on
line with national credit bureaus and a nationwide directory service
which allows us to cross-reference debtors by name, address and
phone number.
Information and account management systems allows
our clients to place delinquent accounts via modem, diskette, e-mail
or other means. These systems are used to provide clients with account
status reports, monthly financial statements and demographic updates.
The Collection department handles all pre-suit
collection accounts. Once collection efforts have been exhausted,
a decision is made whether suit should be filed. Upon client approval,
accounts that warrant suit for collections are immediately transferred
to the Collection Litigation Department for handling and monitoring.
Our ability to work a claim from pre-suit to judgment is most beneficial
to our clients. S&C has essentially eliminated the middle man
in the practice of collections. |
